Drive to Banff

We arrived the day before our Backroads adventure and met my sister’s clan who had arrived a few days prior via train from Vancover.   We arrived on the Calgary to Banff shuttle and it was instantly decided that the boys would hike to Johnston Falls so Laurie Jo’s son Justin could capture the Johnston Falls famous cave and rock outcrop through his view finder.  A prized collection, none the less.

The girls went shopping in downtown Banff hoping to literally bag some prized trophies as well. Dinner was at the Fairmont  celebrating Justin’s wife, future nurse, Julia’s college graduation. The kids would be on their own the next day and beyond as we, the senior folk, became certified...Canadian Rockies Backroaders.
