Hiking Buzzard Roost, Big Sur, California:  The hike was better than the view.  I did this solo as weren't sure if BA could do it.  In restrospect, she could have but she was fine with the Falls hike earlier.  Again, I rode my bike a mile, secured the bike and then I walked under Hwy One to the trail head and started the ascent through a redwood forest that was scarred by a fire over a decade ago.   New keiki shoots were on their way.  The tall blacken trunks looked erie standing watch over them.  The trail was a nice gentle switch back trail with few rocks or stairs for the most part.   A good 3.6 mile length for a two hour hike.  I set a brisk pace.  Like I said, the view was so so but the exercise and 900 ft climb was great.
