Upper Falls Hike, Yosemite National Park, California:  Ok, I said I wasn't going to hike steep mountains anymore.  I lied.  Kinds of.   I wasn't going to climb the 7.9 miles to the highest point iin the park.   I convinced myself that I could make the 3 mile hike to Columbia Rock, high above the valley.   But, that wouldn't be enough.  I had to go to the falls.  I had to see water in the falls.  There was plenty of it.  I hiked past the point Barbara, Patrick and I hiked in '09.   I got to the face of the water fall and got my shots and video for my grandson.   I was thrilled to have made the 4.2 mile RT steep ascent up the many steps of granite stones and filled my eyes with the wonder of this valley and wouldn't you know it, my knees held up great.
