Avenue of the Giants, 101 Hwy, Humboldt County, CA:  We cut our 6 hour drive to the Oregon Coast in half by staying at a RV park in Myer's Flatt located off the 101 in the Humboldt Redwood Forrest.   Wasn't much of a RV park, the flies were nasty and the wifi limited.  We still mets new friends, Jason and Danielle with a fancy rig.    It's the second one of these we've seen in our travels.

I completely forgot that the famous Avenue of the Giants ran parallel to the 101 in the Humboldt Forest.  On our first RV trip in 2009 with buddy Patrick, we had taken the scenic route and driven it's full length.  Oregon was receiving a lot of rain and wind so we had to stall before we reaching our camp site so I figured I could hop on my bicycle and ride 10 of the 31 miles of the drive.  Get in touch with nature, breathe a little fresh air.

Barbara agreed to drive the chase vehicle and followed me down the beautiful, redwood lined drive.  It worked out perfect, not too crowded for a Saturday morning.  I gave BA the Nikon and I grabbed the GoPro.  Along with a few nice photos we got a nice little video you'll see in the next album.
