Tillamook Cheese Factory, Tillamook, OR: We had to go into town to check in with a RV repair shop about a small plumbing leak. While we waited for a tech to show up from an on site call, we drove across the street to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Many, many moons ago some of you might remember that I was a salesman for a cheese distributor in Hawaii. One of my product lines was Tillamook Cheese. We just had to stop by and say aloha. Funny, they had no idea who I was.
It was a fun, though short, self guided tour, cheese sampling, gift store shopping and ride in the cheese wagon. We got there before the crowds arrived which was perfect. This place packs them in. BTW, Tillamook Rocky Road ice cream in a sugar cone is to die for. Oh, mama.
Just a few iphone shots. Oh, BTW, across the street from the factory is the RV repair place which we visted the second day in Tillamook. Maia and I waited patiently for 6 hours while they fixed the plumbing leak. Let's not get into, it just raises my blood pressure.
Did I mention this is dairy country. I've never been to dairy country before. Yikes, they need some air freshers around here.
